Ellie's Big, Important News

Well, we went to the perinatologist yesterday as you all know. And he let our little secret slip in front of Ellie. So she now knows what Matt and I have known for quite a while, but of course, cannot keep it a secret. Ellie is getting a baby sister, and she is just beside herself excited. She started jumping up and down and kept saying "I'm just so excited, its what I always wanted!" So since she has now blabbed to practically everyone, I guess it is a secret no longer. Matt and I have known for awhile, it was very obvious on one of the ultrasounds, so we confirmed it. Baby just made up her own mind whether or now we'd get to find out. That's fine, I didn't really think we'd not figure it out after all these ultrasounds. (we've had like 5 so far and have 4 more to go at least) We knew with Ellie for quite awhile, but just kept it to ourselves. This time, we were going to keep it to ourselves, but after Ellie found out, there is just no way she can keep that secret. And after how excited she is, who could ask her to?

Happy Easter!!

Coloring Eggs
Look what the Easter Bunny brought me!

Great Grandma and Grandpa Bell and the great-grandkids:
Ethan, Ellie, Kaden, Ashton, and Skyler.

A nice bath after a long day

Here are just a few pictures from the weekend. Ellie had great Easter. She really enjoyed the hunting this year for all her goodies. We went back to the perinatologist today, so she got to see her baby again. She really enjoys these peeks every 4 weeks. We have 2 more weeks until our two or three appointments a week days, so these last few months should really fly by (since we'll have no life!)

Easter Egg Hunt

Ellie and I went to my parents house this weekend for an Easter Egg hunt at my sister's school. She made out rather well, since there were not that many kids there. That was probably a good thing, as she was rather selective in what she picked up. Then, she'd trade someting out that was already in her basket. I kept telling her to just pick up whatever and put it in, but it took her awhile to get there.
Look what I found!
There was LOTS of goodies!
Showing off her basket.
Ellie and my cousin Nicole. Ellie managed somehow in all her trading out, to find the grand prize egg, which is how we are now the proud owners of a giant purple bunny.

Baby's Room

Baby has the same bedding as Ellie. And the blue wall matches great! (Ellie had a blue wall too, for the first year) Very neutral!
Ellie has begun a collection of friends for the baby already.
This room is not done yet. We still have some organizing and decorating to do, but at least Matt got it painted. The rest shouldn't take too long. And, there will be much more room once the cradle is out of there. The daybed is staying for the time being, so we have 2 extra beds for people to sleep in. Ellie really wants to make it a Baby Einstein room. That would be fine, except I can't find a single picture for the wall that will work!

Ellie's Room

Well, I am unexpectedly home with a sick kid today, so I am uploading the first house pictures. These are of Ellie's room, which is the first room to be considered done.

Ellie's big girl roomShe wanted a Tinkerbell room.

Her window seat that Nana made
She has one more picture to go in that blank space on the wall, just not framed yet.
Her bathroom connects with the baby's room. We'll get that painted eventually.
