A Few Random Pictures

Ellie and I are getting ready for a meeting this afternoon. I'm working on my agenda, and she is working on hers :)

She got to get cotton candy at Sesame Street Live, which was HUGE because we never buy anything at those shows. (Good lord, we can hardly afford to go to the shows anymore. $10 just to park!)
Making Daddy's Birthday Cake with her new apron from Grandma for valentines day.
Ellie decorated the cake all by herself. She did a pretty good job. Mommy only helped a bit with the frosting. She picked out the Spiderman theme for him all by herself. There was no compromising on this matter.

We are going to the perinatologist again this morning, so should have more pics of the baby soon.

Baby Mady

I know it's a bit crooked, but the scanner is misbehaving today. This is baby's second of many ultrasounds. I am high risk, so I'll go to my doctor and the perinatologist every other week until about 30 weeks or so, then I'm there at least twice a week, if not more. So, I have exactly 9 weeks of freedom until that begins. This is gonna cost me a fortune in leapster games to get Ellie through this :)
Baby is perfectly healthy. We are not planning to find out the sex, but you know, 4-6 more ultrasounds to go, so we'll see how that works for us. We have no names at all picked out. We just haven't found anything we love. Ellie has decided it will be Jordan or Avery. Daddy and I are not planning on it.

Sewing

Ellie got a sewing machine from Nana and Papa for christmas. This is the first time she has been able to use it, since we had to get some house cleaned up first. She has been sewing nonstop for about a day now. You can see her messy art shelf in the background. She loves her art, so we have practically every item imaginable.
Matt's sister is getting married this fall. They asked Ellie to be one of the flower girls. If you remember, she was a flower girl in a wedding when she turned 2. She told Holly, that no, she could not be in her wedding. "I already got married to Grant (the ring bearer in the last wedding), I can't be your flower girl. I already got married!" I had to explain to her that she could be a flower girl in this wedding and still be married to Grant. She thinks that'll work OK, "But is Auntie Holly gonna take me to pick out a pretty white, sparkly princess flower girl dress?" I leave that to you and Auntie Holly, sweetie. Just send the bill to Daddy.

Finally!

We have internet! So, now I will clean the house and get those pictures up! In the meantime, Ellie will continue to do what she always does: pick on the poor dog.

We're here!

We haven't fell off the earth, we just have no internet! Hopefully sometime next week we'll get it and I can finally download pics of the house. Ellie is in love with her new house. I can't post at work since the site is blocked (to post but not to read, crazy people!) And I will email all my friends as soon as I can! For now I am resorting to Matt's computer with wireless access, when he isn't using it for work (which is rare) So more very soon!!

Our news

Well, I'm sure many of you have received our card and have figured out we are expecting. We are very excited, including Ellie. She cannot wait to be a big sister, and asks about the baby quite a bit. When is it going to be June, when can I feel it kick, can we buy it this or that, etc. She told me it is a good thing that her room and the baby's room are connected (by the bathroom) "so when it crys at night, I can go feed it for you, mommy." That could be a slight problem :)
The house is coming along great. We should be moved in on the 29th. Last time we were there, they were painting working on finish work. Hopefully, when we go out there this week, we'll see the floors finished and the light fixtues getting put in. I am dying to get back to my own kitchen. My inlaws have been wonderful, but lets face it, I NEED my own kitchen stuff.
We had the first snowfall of the season, and as you can see, Ellie loved it! She wants it to snow "so much more, so we can have snow ice cream!" She can't wait to get her sled out of storage and try it out. We will have a slight incline so she will be able to sled in our yard.

Gotta go. We are going to a party that starts at 9:00 AM!

Its been awhile

Ok, so its been awhile...

September flew by. We closed on our house (finally!) and got temporarily moved. We went to Disney world for a week, came home and went to Minneapolis for a wedding right after. I had a solid week of work and meeting (yuck). And that is how it got to be October already. Ellie had a blast at Disney. She was so excited to be going. I was so glad we were able to take her again. A lot of people have told me "she won't remember it" and "You really should wait until she is older" But you know, in her eyes, its real. All of it. She thinks the whole place is full of magic and sunshine, all the time. It is a toddler's perfect world. And life is too short to just keep waiting. She may not remember it forever, but I sure will.

Ellie insists she is going to be Alice in wonderland this year. Never mind that she could be a princess, so I could reuse my costume I bought. Never mind that she looks NOTHING like Alice. " I'm GOING to be Alice." period. End of discussion. Fine, whatever.
